Get into Summer and take advantage of everything that’s on offer for families in Scotland, from ideas for things you can do at home and when you’re out and about, to free and discounted events.
The last year has been tough for kids, as well as their parents. We could all do with a little boost. That’s why locally and across Scotland there are extra activities and ideas for children and teens to get involved with this summer.
There’s nothing better for children’s wellbeing (and yours too!) than getting out and about, meeting old friends and making new ones, and getting active. So why not make full use of the longer days and (slightly!) warmer weather and check out everything that’s happening where you are?

You might have noticed that the lighter evenings give your wee ones extra energy to burn. Fortunately, wherever you are in Scotland, there are plenty of fun, safe activities for them to enjoy. Getting out and about and doing things together is also an important way for you to connect as a family. This is just as true if you have older kids or teenagers at home. They might need a bit more encouragement to join in the fun, but there are activities for them to get excited about too.
